Bangladesh Army

Recruitment in the Army is a common process to meet up combat requirement. Every male citizen, irrespective of caste, class or religion is eligible for recruitment in the army provided he meets the laid down age educational, physical and medical requirement. Recruitment is carried out on quarterly basis by Headquarters Recruitment Unit/Branch Recruitment Unit/Area Recruitment Team and Training Centers.
Eligibility
4 Age. 17 to 19 years. Affidavit is NOT accepted.
4 Physical Standard (Minimum)
8 Height : 1.68 Metre (5' - 6").
8 Weight : 49.90 Kg.
8 Chest : Normal 0.76 Metre. Expanded 0.81 Metre.
4 Educational Qualification. Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination/ Equivalents with minimum GPA-2/2nd Division. For Tradesman SSC/Equivalents with minimum GAP-1/3rd Division.
4 Marital Status. Unmarried.
4 Nationality. Bangladeshi by birth.
4 Swimming. Must known how to swim

When to Apply
Recruitment schedule is announced through national dailies, Radio and TV advertisement on quarterly basis. The vacancies are allotted as per district. Persons interested to join army may report to district recruitment venue as per schedule with following documents:
4 6 copies 4.5 x 4.5 size recent colour photograph.
4 Copy of all educational certificates and mark sheets (academic transcript).
4 Nationality Certificate from Chairman Union Council/Chairman Pourashava/ Word commissioner.
4 Consent certificate from parents.
4 Children of serving/retired Armed Forces personnel and serving civilian of Armed Forces may directly report to training centres on the day of the recruitment along with required documents. They will however only be recruited if they fulfill laid down standard.

4 Initial Screening. Initial screening includes checking of documents and preliminary medical test.
4 Written Examination. Candidates qualified in the initial screening will appear before written examination. The examination generally comprises of questions on Bangla, English, Mathematics, General Knowledge and aptitude test.
4 Final Medical Examination. Candidates qualified in written examination will appear before final medical examination.
4 Final Selection. Final selection will be made by the Recruiting Officer.
